On behalf of Organizing Committee of JTMSIS, we would like to welcome all conference participants to

Japan-Taiwan Medical Spectroscopy International Symposium

This International symposium will be held by the Japan Association of Medical Spectroscopy. The similar symposium was held at Taipei in Taiwan in December, 2014. The purpose of this symposium is to discuss recent progress in medical spectroscopy, from its fundamental to applications. The symposium is concerned with Raman, IR, NIR, Terahertz, UV-Vis, FUV, Fluorescence and other spectroscopies.

We invite researchers and students not only from Japan and Taiwan but also all over the world. In the field of applications, we aim to build Interdisciplinary area between medicine and spectroscopy. To do that we invite several medical scientists. We will have plenary, keynote and invited lectures; oral presentations and poster sessions. We have about 10 sessions regarding Raman, IR, NIR, Terahertz, SERS, Fluorescence and other Spectroscopies.

JTMSIS will be held at the Awaji Yumebutai International Conference Center in Awaji Island, Hyogo, Japan. This facility is about 90 minutes from Kansai Airport. The venue was selected because of its wonderful facilities at the conference center. Shuttle bus service (every 30 minutes) goes to Sannomiya (downtown center of Kobe) from Kansai airport. From Sannomiya, 45 minute travel by bus brings you to Awaji Island.

Awaji Island is a place of myth and a treasure house of food. It is also famous as a flower island and at Awaji Yumebutai, the conference place, you can enjoy many different types of flowers from season to season. Please also take time to see the art of Awaji Puppet Theater, which has 500 years of tradition. From Awaji Island, you can also easily get to the famous places in Japan, like Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Himeji where you can visit Himeji castle which has just been renovated.
